Hermès — Holiday Window Installations For the Holiday Season, I had the pleasure of collaborating with Hermès on a series of six window installations created for all boutiques in Germany, Vienna and Prague. Each scene was conceived as a small theatrical world, inspired by the simplicity and charm of traditional paper theatres. Built up in multiple layers, the installations unfold like folkloristic stage sets, creating depth, rhythm and a sense of quiet magic. Horses meet on forest clearings, birds peek out from behind bushes to observe a laid table, and carefully composed scenes reveal themselves gradually—inviting the viewer to pause and enter a poetic universe. The intention was to create a timeless, almost naïve atmosphere, where craftsmanship, storytelling and imagination come together. Within these enchanted settings, the Hermès products appear naturally embedded in the narrative, becoming part of a larger, dreamlike world rather than standing apart from it. This collaboration was a deeply joyful experience—an exploration of wonder, playfulness and the enduring magic of handcrafted storytelling

Opposite the illustrations, Annette Roeder's engaging texts offer illuminating and often surprising facts from throughout history and contemporary life. March 2020/// My new Picture Book "Flower Power/ OLaf Hajek´s Buch der Blumen" is published at Prestel and Randomhouse Publishers. Olaf Hajek's fantastical and mesmerising art is familiar to many adults. Now young readers can enjoy his work while learning about the fascinating health benefits of flowers they encounter every day. Hajek's paintings spring to life, populated by insects, birds, fruit, and fairytales that illustrate the drama of the natural world. Accompanying each painting are engaging texts that explore various cultural and medicinal aspects of the flowers as well as their importance to artists, writers, and healers. As they learn how iris roots were used to alleviate teething pain in babies and how poppy plants led to the invention of the salt shaker, kids will also get to know a garden's worth of blooms-from wild roses to carnations and peonies to marigolds. Kids will look at flowers in a whole new light and will delight in this beautiful keepsake of botanical illustrations by a celebrated artist.

February 2020/// SWATCH X OLAF HAJEK /// I created a unique Swatch X You canvas /// "This time around for his second Swatch design, Hajek’s idea was to create an image of luxury, opulence and beauty which has absolutely nothing to do with wealth and prosperity. In this striking design, he adapted the idea of Marie Antoinette and created a “Black Antoinette” who wears the idea of nature in its entirety on her head. This alludes to birth and death, where human beings and nature become one."

My Holiday Collection for Diptyque, Paris// The diptyque Lucky Charms Bring a touch of whimsical charm to the end of the year... " For the end of the year collection conceived by Diptyque, Olaf Hajek invented "arbres à voeux"- "wish trees", appropriating those sacred places where people deposit their wishes and turning them into locations where diptyque lucky charms may be hung. Hajek borrows from popular traditions such as ladybirds, horseshoes, pieces of coral, four-leaf clovers, holly or shooting stars- playing, in each of his creations, with their benign powers. Creations that invite us too to cross our fingers and explore our heart line for a good end of the year.

It was a call to arms for everyone to engage with their inner artist and unlock their creative potential.

"Struwelpeter" Painting 80x60cm on Canvas, Der Struwwelpeter ("shock-headed Peter")[ is an 1845 German children´s book written and illustrated by Heinrich Hoffmann. It comprises ten illustrated and rhymed stories, mostly about children. Each cautionary tale has a clear moral lesson that demonstrates the disastrous consequences of misbehavior in an exaggerated way. I was always inspried by this special character.

Swatch partnered with me to create two limited edition watches – the Flowerhead and Nature Man. Using my recent vibrant portraits of African women, the Flowerhead’s dial presents the face of an African woman clothed in plants and flowers, creating an image of luxury and beauty through nature. The Nature Man is a surreal portrait of a blue-green man gazing into a distance populated with spiky plants and bright flowers. Both watches have curling leaves floating above the watch faces as hour and minute hands.

Hermès — Holiday Window Installations For the Holiday Season, I had the pleasure of collaborating with Hermès on a series of six window installations created for all boutiques in Germany, Vienna and Prague. Each scene was conceived as a small theatrical world, inspired by the simplicity and charm of traditional paper theatres. Built up in multiple layers, the installations unfold like folkloristic stage sets, creating depth, rhythm and a sense of quiet magic. Horses meet on forest clearings, birds peek out from behind bushes to observe a laid table, and carefully composed scenes reveal themselves gradually—inviting the viewer to pause and enter a poetic universe. The intention was to create a timeless, almost naïve atmosphere, where craftsmanship, storytelling and imagination come together. Within these enchanted settings, the Hermès products appear naturally embedded in the narrative, becoming part of a larger, dreamlike world rather than standing apart from it. This collaboration was a deeply joyful experience—an exploration of wonder, playfulness and the enduring magic of handcrafted storytelling

"Struwelpeter" Painting 80x60cm on Canvas, Der Struwwelpeter ("shock-headed Peter")[ is an 1845 German children´s book written and illustrated by Heinrich Hoffmann. It comprises ten illustrated and rhymed stories, mostly about children. Each cautionary tale has a clear moral lesson that demonstrates the disastrous consequences of misbehavior in an exaggerated way. I was always inspried by this special character.

In this striking design, he adapted the idea of Marie Antoinette and created a “Black Antoinette” who wears the idea of nature in its entirety on her head. This alludes to birth and death, where human beings and nature become one."

My Holiday Collection for Diptyque, Paris// The diptyque Lucky Charms Bring a touch of whimsical charm to the end of the year... " For the end of the year collection conceived by Diptyque, Olaf Hajek invented "arbres à voeux"- "wish trees", appropriating those sacred places where people deposit their wishes and turning them into locations where diptyque lucky charms may be hung. Hajek borrows from popular traditions such as ladybirds, horseshoes, pieces of coral, four-leaf clovers, holly or shooting stars- playing, in each of his creations, with their benign powers. Creations that invite us too to cross our fingers and explore our heart line for a good end of the year.

Swatch partnered with me to create two limited edition watches – the Flowerhead and Nature Man. Using my recent vibrant portraits of African women, the Flowerhead’s dial presents the face of an African woman clothed in plants and flowers, creating an image of luxury and beauty through nature. The Nature Man is a surreal portrait of a blue-green man gazing into a distance populated with spiky plants and bright flowers. Both watches have curling leaves floating above the watch faces as hour and minute hands.
